Aflatoxins B1 rapid test strip
Catalog No.: LSY-20006
1. Brief
This product is used for testing Aflatoxins B1 in grain, feed, peanut and edible oil qualitatively, the whole test procedure only needs 15-20min, easy to operate with high sensitivity.
2. Specifications: 8 strips/bottle, 12 tubes/box (96tests/box)
3. Detection limit: μg/kg(ppb)
Sample | AFB1 Detection limit | Sample | AFB1 Detection limit
Rice | 3-5ppb | Peanut | 3-5ppb
Wheat | 3-5ppb | Soybean | 3-5ppb
Corn | 3-5ppb | Wheat bran | 20-30ppb
Regular feed | 5-8ppb | Rice bran | 20-30ppb
DDGS | 20-30ppb | Green fodder | 20-30ppb
Soybean meal | 10-15ppb | Edible oil | 5-20ppb
4. Application: Grains, feed, beans, edible oil.
5. Principle
The Aflatoxins B1 rapid test strip is based on competitive inhibition immuno-chromatographic principle. In the flow process, Aflatoxins B1 in the sample combined with Aflatoxins B1 specific colloidal gold-labeled monoclonal antibody, Inhibit the combination between antibody and AFB1 -BSA conjugate on Test line of NC membrane, lead to the color change of Test line.
When the sample has no Aflatoxins B1 residue or concentration lower than detection limit, T line is darker than or has same color with C line. when the concentration is equal to or higher than detection limit, T line is lighter than C line obviously or T line is invisible. No matter whether there is Aflatoxins B1 residue in sample, C line will appear, it means the test is valid.
6. Contents
8 strips and 8 micro-wells put into 1 tube | 12 tubes |
Manual | 1 piece |
Sample extracting buffer (1000ml) | 50ml/bottle,20 bottles |
7. Required equipment and consumables
Instruments: electronic balance, centrifuge, micropipette, vortex oscillator, homogenizer.
Consumables: 15ml centrifuge tube, disposable tips.
8. Sample preparation
8.1 A. Grain: rice, wheat, corn, sorghum
B. Feed: regular feed, DDGS, soybean meal
C. Beans: peanut, soybean
Weigh crushed sample 1±0.05 g into 15ml centrifuge tube, add 4ml Sample extracting buffer, shake vigorously by hand or Vortex for 1-2min, centrifuge at 4000r/min at room temperature for 5min, Take up-layer clear liquid to test.
8.2 Special sample (sample is highly absorbent)
Wheat bran, rice bran, green fodder
Weigh crushed sample 1±0.05 g into 15ml centrifuge tube, add 10ml Sample extracting buffer, shake vigorously by hand or Vortex for 3 min, centrifuge at 4000r/min at room temperature for 10min, Take up-layer clear liquid to test.
8.3 Edible oil
Use Pipette to take 200ul sample into 50ml or 15ml centrifuge tube, add Sample extracting buffer (Quantity as following tablet), shake vigorously by hand or Vortex for 3 min, take sample to test.
Detection limit μg/kg(ppb) | 5 | 10 | 15 | 20 |
Sample extracting buffer (ml) | 2ml | 4ml | 6ml | 8ml |
9. Operation procedures
9.1 Read the instruction carefully before use. Return test strips and sample into room temperature.
9.2 Take tubes needed from the kit package, take out required micro-wells and strips, making proper marks. Please use these test strips within 1h. Seal the cap of the tubes, avoid moisture.
9.3 Take 200ul of the test samples into the micro-wells, then repeatedly pump and suck for many times, mix the sample with the reagent in the micro-wells completely until no solid judge by eyes (this is a very important step).
9.4 Incubate for 3min at room temperature(20-25℃), then insert the test strips into the micro-wells with the "MAX" end fully dipped in to the mixture solution.
9.5 Wait for 5-8min then take out strip and read the result within 1min, it is invalid in other time.
10. Test Result Interpretation
10.1 Negative: T line is darker than or has same color with C line. It means there is no Aflatoxins B1 residue in sample or the residue is lower than detection limit.
10.2 Positive: T line is obviously lighter than T line or T line is invisible. It means the Aflatoxins B1 residue is higher than or equal to detection limit.
10.3 Invalidation: C line isn’t seen wine red. It means the test strip is out of efficacy, out of date or improper operation. Please run the test again using another package. If the invalid tests keep happening, please contact the local distributor.

11. Precautions
1). The test strip is disposable at room temperature; Do not use expired test strips.
2). Disposable tips cannot be reused to avoid cross contamination.
3). Try not to touch the white film surface in the center of the test strip during use; Avoid direct sunlight and direct fan blowing.
4). Tap water, distilled water, or deionized water cannot be used as negative controls.
5). If a positive result appears, it is recommended to retest with this test strip.
6). Due to differences in samples, some testing lines may appear lighter or grayish in color, but as long as a red band appears, it can be determined.
7). If you encounter any problems during the experiment, please contact our company.
12. Safety performance and garbage disposal
This product's test strips and packaging are non-toxic and harmless. After use, they should be disposed of as dry waste.
13. Storage and expiry date
